Have you ever thought of the practicality of beer steins? These ornate beer holders with lids are great for drinking outside. Have you ever found a bug in your drink? Beer steins make it almost impossible for bugs to get inside there. And you wonder why Germans thought of both beer steins and Oktoberfest(drinking outside in beer tents)?
As well, dust and dirt also have a more difficult time of getting into a beer stein. Which is also a selling point of beer steins. Which is important for a drink that takes time to imbibe the whole thing.
As well, the lid helps the beer hold its cold temperature longer.
Another advantage is that beer steins make it more difficult for date rapers to roofie an unsuspecting victim. The have to lift the lid, then deposit their vile cargo. Which takes a longer time and is more noticeable.
It’s not a perfect system but it is better.
The only other drinks I see with similar roofie protection might be those mixed drinks with the little umbrella. If the umbrella were made to be bigger than the glass’s opening, we might have some protection here as well.

They have a loudest bark contest. I’ll say that again. Dogs have a loudest bark contest.
They’re practicing somewhere. Hopefully far away in remote rural areas. But I used to live in a remote rural area and barking dogs were still a problem then.
Maybe they have defeated the main problem and gotten these dogs to only bark between the hours of 9 to 5. That would be news worth trumpeting. But somehow I doubt it.
And I must ask if howling dogs are eligible. Wolf howls can carry for very long distances. Would huskies have an advantage then? Being close to wolves as they are.

I just heard that Jenny McCarthy has a makeup line.
I was wondering if her antivax stuff with regards to autism was nothing more than a dry run for her to test her own marketability.
You know, back a disproved study then see if anyone else latches onto it in your name. If that was a test, it was a glaringly obvious victory for lunacy and marketability. She was definitely heard.
And I know not to buy anything with Jenny McCarthy’s name associated with it. Especially something that was supposed to be scientifically tested, like make up. You know she’ll back the scientist who is behind the one disproved study that says lead is okay to be left on the face for hours a day.
